Patrice Hugo
I am a PPR certified coach with a positive and encouraging coaching style. I have multiple tournament wins and experience coaching from ages 5 thru 80, tailoring instructions to each person’s needs while creating a fun and encouraging environment. My focus is on technique, strategy, and court awareness, always emphasizing fundamentals. I’m currently coaching our Special Olympics adults for area # 11, focusing on basic drills and leadership skills.
Past coaching experience includes volleyball, softball, and handball, from elementary school thru college. Pickleball is my passion, and whether you want to play competitively or just for recreation, it’s a great way to meet new friends and get exercise.
My motto:
“ A good coach can change a game. A great coach can change a life.”
Jim Baldassari
Jim is a graduate of Harvard University where he played hockey and tennis. As a faculty member of the Governor’s Academy he taught and coached before becoming the head tennis and racquetball professional at Boston area clubs. Jim is a certified teaching pro with the United States Professional Tennis Association, is the author of two books on technique and strategy, and has given many courses to aspiring tennis and pickleball instructors. Currently, Jim teaches private and group tennis and pickleball lessons, plays competitive tennis in one of Florida’s top level senior Men’s leagues, and coaches a local high school pickleball team.
Jim’s approach to teaching/learning tennis and pickleball is to emphasize solid fundamentals, keeping instruction on technique easy to execute, understanding court positioning and movement, while making sure the sessions are fun and a great workout.
